Following the devastating earthquake in Nepal, we had the privilege of working on a significant project commissioned by Helvetas Swiss Intercooperation. Our mission was to create a series of three compelling documentary films centered around the districts of Dhading, Dolakha, and Ramechha.
It was a humbling experience to witness firsthand the transformative work carried out by Helvetas in these communities. Our cameras captured the inspiring journey of men and women from these villages as they underwent a comprehensive 50-day training program focused on constructing earthquake-resistant homes. This initiative not only equipped them with essential skills but also empowered them to take control of their own lives and futures.
The resulting documentary is a testament to the indomitable spirit and resilience of the people in these villages. Through stunning visuals and poignant storytelling, we documented how the lives of the villagers were profoundly impacted by the training provided by Helvetas. The newfound knowledge and skills brought about a positive transformation, not only in terms of constructing safe and secure homes but also in instilling a sense of hope and confidence within the community.
